Transfer transaction - sending encrypted message to address alias

Open cryptoBeliever opened this issue 2 years ago • 0 comments

Description Wallet is not able to send transaction with encrypted message if user decide to send to namespace alias linked to account.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to transfer transaction view.
  2. Put address alias instead address. For example: cryptobeliever (on mainnet)
  3. Put message to encrypt for example "Test"
  4. Check the "Encrypt message" checkbox

Result We receive the error "Invalid recipient public key".

Expected result

  • The wallet should be able to fetch the public key for an address (it has outgoing transactions) related to the alias and encrypt the message.
  • The wallet should be able also to decrypt messages sent to the alias even when the alias will expire.
