How about a stylized Sycamore tree? Since it's build on Rust, perhaps an R shaped tree?
Just as an inspiration until a real designer comes across

I did this a while ago and forgot to post it so unfortunately i don't know where i created it – it was "just" a random website from a google search logo designer online or something. So i don't think they're "free to use" either – as i said just something to look at and say "i like that, i don't like the other thing"

I like really the maple leaf, which is aligned with the sycamore maple tree.
The red/orange color has a rusty look to it. Here’s another style reference:
To me, “sycamore” most strongly evokes the winged seeds (which apparently are also known as samaras), which have a fairly distinctive shape too. Had one in my back garden as a child. We called ’em helicopters.
