Sprinklers and Faucets

Hi!

I have some Water Faucets that's connected using Fibaro Roller Shutter. Homey currently not support this type of devices or it cannot be set, so i wanna ask you to add a input_select field under all curtains entries, since it how most companies represent AC devices.

Thanks!

Or better would be add for each devices input field to select Faucet type, since it can be only on/off and homekit recognize it too

To be honest, this falls beyond the scope of Homeykit. We try to do the best we can with what Homey itself supports and provides, and like you say, Homey doesn't support these types of devices.

Basically yeah, but since HomeKit support this type of device and it possible to implement it, it would be be nice to add this, cause idea of all Apps for Homey bring as much as possible full support of the product you work on. In a first it should be integration for Homekit, not Homey types for Homekit, this does not reveal all the functionality! :)

Just the fact that it's possible to implement doesn't make it a compelling enough reason for me 😊

The idea of Homeykit is not to bring full Homekit support to Homey, the idea is to provide at least some support for Homekit. As the app currently stands, it does its best to do that, but with a relatively minimal effort. There's only one developer working on the app (me) and I don't even use Homey anymore, so I'm not going to spend a lot of time working around shortcomings of Homey just for the sake of providing a somewhat better Homekit integration.

You can ask Athom ([email protected]) if they want to provide support like you suggest for the built-in Homekit support that Homey has, but I think that integration is even worse.
