🤔 Pronouns shape user’s relationship with your product. ✅ Users perceive products as their tools or their assistants. ✅ Tools suggest a higher degree of ownership → MY drafts. ✅ Assistants suggest UI speaking to a user → YOUR drafts. ✅ We might also use neutral, simple labels → Drafts.

✅ To decide on my/your, first ask: “Who else is in the room?” ✅ There’s no one except the user (Settings) → Skip pronoun. ✅ Product is talking to the user (Onboarding) → "Your presets". ✅ User is talking to the product (Buttons) → "Save my draft". 🤔 But: if there is no ambiguity, you might not need a pronoun.

✅ “My” works for user-created content, actions, preferences. ↳ E.g. personal inbox, dashboard, delivery orders, purchases. ✅ “Your” works best for system-initiated content for a user. ↳ E.g. onboarding, instructions, buttons, error msgs, labels. 🚫 Never misrepresent system’s decisions as user’s decisions.
