tree: Cannot read property '$$depth' of undefined

Hi there

I was seeing the tree demo and when I tried to order any column downwards it throws an error: TypeError: Cannot read property '$$depth' of undefined

Thanks for posting!

We arent using the tree in our project yet, so I haven't had a chance to test it much. If you come up with a fix, I'll gladly accept a PR!
