Attempt to change hex code by typing results in #2NanNanNan

First off thanks for developing the component. I'm having an issue trying to update the hex code by typing, rather than using the color picker. It basically doesn't work and injects a bunch of NaN's in the string. This is with version 4.0.0, it used to work with 3.0.1.

yes, i think its a color parsing issue
