Sync gist comments and description

It would be really nice (particularly for searching) to be able to capture the comments and descriptions (basically any of the metadata on a gist not in the git repo, but available through the API). I might be as simple as some YAML/txt files dumped into the gist directory with the ID's of the gists themselves to namespace them.

Seconding this request for one reason:

On gist.github.com, the description is the only way to search through your own gists. Searching by filename doesn't work.
