Same problem on Ubuntu 20.4
To anyone having issues, for now a workarround is possible by login using vscode and then try again on IntelliJ/Android Studio and again, click agree on Spotify page. It should work then. Just tested now on Ubuntu 20.04
I should've left a comment on my closed issue, however have you tried unauthorizing the app on your Spotify account, then restarting the IDE and trying again? I remember I had to do that before it finally connected. (When it does connect, thankfully you don't have to go through it again even after reinstalling the IDE (;´д`)ゞ)
Same problem on Ubuntu 20.04.1 with Android Studio 4.1 Music Time v.2.0.14
Same here! MacOSX
But just like @Leeonardoo mentioned above, that workaround worked quite well!
We apologize for the late reply. We'll look into this issue right away and thank you for your patience. Regards.
We've identified an issue creating the token to establish the spotify connection. The fix for this is in v2.0.16 which should be available in a day or two based on JetBrains review. Thank you.

2.0.16 isn't fixed in WebStorm 2020.2.3. Same issue.
Ok, thank you for the response. We're looking into this further.
We've found a change in our authentication logic causing this issue. The version with this fix will be v2.0.19. This should be available in the Jetbrains marketplace within a day or two. Thank you.
Not fixed, even in 2.0.20, for me.
One more symptom to the issue. I'm able to connect to Spotify, but it constantly forgets the auth token after I restart IDE, thus I need to reconnect each time.
Also MusicTime readme file is begin opened in IDE, just like it was installed for the first time. Looks like whole settings bucket isn't being saved for some reason.
Facing the same issue in Android Studio.
Hi, we apologize for the connect issues. We've identified the issue and released v2.1.4. You may need to reconnect Spotify by disconnecting then reconnecting again.
Thank you for your patience and let us know if there are any other issues.
Regards.
@xavluiz I was having this issue before, now when I try to authenticate it, the software.com screen tells me it can't find an account with that email address. Then if I click 'install a plugin', it takes me back to app.software.com/login.
HI @mitchierichie, I'll look into this. To confirm, is this after upgrading to 2.1.4 and disconnecting Spotify? Thank you for the information.
Hi @mitchierichie, can you delete your
@xavluiz I was able to sign it without deleting my . software folder. The problem is that I didn't have a SW.com account, but your login screen doesn't have a working "sign up" button. I went to the home page and signed up there.
Using v2.1.4
- [x] redirected to spotify -- OK
- [x] logged in and redirected to software.com -- OK
- [ ] prompt error as shown in screenshot
I don't see any place for me to create an account in the plugin? Could you please help

@mitchierichie ok, thank you for the update about signing up. @JefferyLondon you can visit https://app.software.com/signup to create an account. I will look into why the connection isn't completing, thank you.
