Thanks for this - I'm actually not doing any work with Android at the moment, so maybe this would be better as a separate repository if you want to have it under your own account. Would be happy to link to it in the README here for folks wanted an updated/IntelliJ based example.

Cool, however the project still does not compile fully because of very outdated code/configurations. Maybe I'll figure it out
