Seek a Live Playing Track and Show Remaining Time
During rehearsals for an event, we often don't have time to play the entire video, the show caller would call to skip to e.g. the last 20seconds to rehearse the change to the next section.
Ability to Scrub through the current playing items timeline.
Add a Widget for the current clip/cue remaining time.
Yes, #68 , would be for editing the clip for "show". This should not be edited during a rehearsal, as it would invalidate the test of the cue.
The scrubbability should be possible during a "live/rehearsal".
Active display of the remaining time of the cue based upon #68 's setting, provides the ability to count down for the show caller to cue the next time. Or use the countdown as a variable to give the ability "display" the countdown clock as an output.
Ok, I get what you're after. Due to how Caspar works 'true scrubbability' is hard to implement but I'm sure we can do something to make it easier.
Being able to move the playhead and start playback at different parts in a clip shouldn't be too difficult. And I like your idea of populating a variable that can be used as a clock.
I need to finish some lower level tasks before taking on this but I'm leaving the issue open and adding it to the backlog. Thank you for your input.
