Feature : Strava integration
Hi Sven,
Great app. I'm new to this Waterrower world, but your app is a time-saver. I would like to suggest to add a Strava integration. For the activity you can define "Rowing" and use the tag "indoor". Strava have an extensive API, available here : https://developers.strava.com/
At present time, I manually export the .tcx through a web browser. This process can be shorten with the Strava integration. Cheers.
I'd love to see that feature integrated. But I'd also push for a fake lake/sea tracking instead of all the runs starting from Greenwich. :+1:
I would also love to see this feature implemented (or Garmin since syncs to Strava). If it is implemented it would very helpful to add power to the .tcx file to analyze power zones in Strava. The google fit sync works most of the time for me but apparently google fit does not sync to Strava--it only pulls activities from Strava to google fit.
Would also appreciate automatic uploads to Strava. Thanks for this great app.
Hi everybody, you could use SyncMyTracks to do this importing. There is also a free version with adds.
I'm not affiliated with SyncMyTracks in any way. I use this app to sync my tracks successfully and can recommend it. It supports many services including Strava, Google Fit, Garmin and more
im a convert! fallen in love with coxwain ❤ and am just about to pay for full version of syncmytracks as it works well as free version but just want to simplify the sync as I use fitbit, polarflow and strava... all do different types of analysis and tracking for different purposes.
@svenmeier Just a question: I would love to see strava integration. Would even try to implement it myself. Is this ok or do you don't want any other integrations?
i have no objections against another integration, AFAIKS that would work via REST calls to Strava, right?
Basically yes. There is a documentation available: https://developers.strava.com/docs/reference/
Hi Sven, I love Coxswain and have been using it for a while.
It should really benefit from the Garmin / Strava integration. I see this has been opened for a while so I was wondering if there are technical difficulties or if it is just a matter of priorities.
If it is the later, are you open to PRs. I do not have much time, and honestly I am not sure I'll be able to complete anything meaningful, but I can at least try. Doing a bit of Java on mobile will give me a break from Python.
Feel free to tell me to go away ;) .
