Unable to use caps lock to change between nepali and last used latin keyboard

In Macos Big Sur there is an option in Keyboard preferences -> Input Sources that allows you to use caps lock key to switch to and from last used Latin input source. This works fine with the built-in Nepali (India) and Nepali (Remmington) keyboard layouts, but in the nepali-romanized-pro layout caps lock just acts like regular caps lock (like holding down shift). Is there a way to make this keyboard layout work with the Big Sur caps lock functionality?
