Why Swiper5 is recommended over Swiper6 ?

Is 6 in beta? What are the differences between they?

This project appears to have been abandoned. That being said it works with Swiper 6 and the README.md even has instructions for Swiper 6.

Yeah, but since npm v7 I get the following error on $ npm i

Fork it and update the package.json or follow the instructions that npm printed out above on how to ignore the error.
