Romanization turning sokuon (っ/ッ) into "tsu"

What is the Bug/Issue?

I'm sorry if this belongs in "Incorrect Lyrics" (which probably would be the better fit if you're using different lyrics for original/romanized, with Bug Report probably being the better fit in case of machine translations). Many sokuon (Hiragana っ, Katakana ッ) get romanized into "tsu", when they should double the following consonant instead. (Hiragana "tsu" being つ, Katakana ツ)

I've found that it seems to be correct for Hiragana most of the time, e.g. here (ヒトリノ夜 • PornoGraffitti): But there's also cases where it's incorrectly turned into "tsu" instead, as seen here (same song):

The issue seems to be more frequent in Katakana however, as I couldn't find a case of it being romanized correctly yet. Example of Katakana ッ turning into "tsu" True end player • Idol College:
