Cant install new version over old version

4.1.9 installer is making you choose a totally different install directory than the existing installation instead of overwriting it which is the regular qbitorrent behavior.

I know, it is a restriction of QTIFW. There are two options: online repository, which requires some time/money to deploy and support, or dirty hacks with installer script (or even code itself).

Sure, this is the best way. It shouldn't delete any %appdata% files, so you will have the same torrents after re installation.

or delete the exe files from your root installation dir of qbittorrent beforehand
