Suggestions for Supporting Local LLMs and External Storage Hardware

Open diannaojueji opened this issue 2 months ago • 2 comments

Dear Developers, I'd like to suggest two valuable feature enhancements directions for the supermemory project: Local Large Model Integration Adding support for local large language models integration would significantly expand the project's applicability in environments with limited internet access or strict data privacy requirements. This could involve creating a flexible adapter layer that allows seamless connection with popular local models (such as Llama, Mistral, or Vicuna variants) while maintaining the existing memory management capabilities. External Storage Hardware Support Implementing compatibility with external storage devices would enhance the project's utility for users needing to manage large volumes of memory data or requiring physical control over their data storage. This could include support for direct connection to external hard drives, NAS devices, or specialized storage solutions, with appropriate synchronization and access control mechanisms. These features would strengthen supermemory's position as a versatile, privacy-focused memory management solution while catering to a broader range of user needs. Thank you for considering these suggestions.
