text-geometry + AR.js gets AFRAME error

I was trying to integrate the text-geometry script with AR.js from: https://github.com/ngokevin/kframe/tree/master/components/text-geometry

however it failed and get the error:

AFRAME is not defined
    at Object.<anonymous>

Any hope this can be fixed?
