Support for External barcode scanner

Hi,

is grocy mobile able to work with eternal barcode scanners? If yes, where do i have to configure it? And if not, are there any plans to integrate this into grocy mobile?

Thanks, Stephan.

I have implemented a keyboard entry in the Quick Scan view.

If your external Barcode Scanner works like a keyboard (enters a code and then Enter), it should work. At least it worked in iOS simulator, where I pressed the buttons with the keyboard.

The next release containing this is TBD.

Thanks for your answer. In grocy web, the scanner works correctly. In grocy mobile i see the "quick scan"-button flashing, if i scan a code. But nothing happens. :-(

That you have this feature on your roadmap sounds good for me. Thanks for your work! If you need help in this issue, send me a note.

Stephan.

Hello,

I figured I would add in here that the feature seems to work for IOS however it does not seem to work when using the app on the iPad. I have confirmed that the reader works by using it through the web app without issue.

Thanks!

IOS: 26.1 IpadOS:26.1 Grocy App: 3.1.0 Grocy Server: 4.5.0
