Any chance to get Plextor PX‑40TSi fully supported?

I bought a bunch of these drives 20 years ago, when they were the perfect drives for EAC, but they seem only partially supported in Redumper due to requiring the Plextor-specific command set. Is there any chance to get these drives natively supported? I am more than happy to donate drives if this enables development.
