Is it possible for the Floating dock to replace the dash?

Is it possible for the Floating dock to replace the dash, that is, when the floating dock (FD) is on, dash would not appear in activities? Also, for the apps to be minimized to the FD, where ever it is situated? FD doesn't have the ability to "add to favourites" or "quit" options as the dash.
