Your purpose in using this API:
I am developing a personal Islamic learning application focused on Quran memorization and Arabic language study. I would like to add a Hadith section with the following features:
- Search and browse hadith collections by book/chapter
- Display Arabic text with customizable fonts and diacritics toggle (show/hide tashkeel)
- Memorization exercises based on selected ahadith passages
The app is currently for personal use, running locally.
API rate limits:
- Maximum requests per second: 1-2 requests/second would be sufficient
- Maximum requests per day: ~500-1000 requests/day (personal use only)
Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
I would be happy with either option. An offline data dump would actually work well for my use case since I mainly need to display and browse ahadith locally. I am comfortable setting up a backend to
serve the data if needed. However, if the dataset is very large, API access might be more practical.
What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?

- French (if available)
What programming language will your API client be in?
JavaScript (React frontend with potential Node.js backend)
