I am building a mobile Islamic application for daily worship, Quran listening, prayer times, and motivational Islamic content. One of the modules includes “Daily Hadith”, which will display one authentic hadith per day for users.

Your purpose in using this API:

I will use the Sunnah.com API to fetch authentic hadith content and present it inside my mobile application (iOS & Android). Main usage:

Display daily random hadith

Provide authentic source information

Allow users to read hadith in their preferred language

Non-commercial, educational and spiritual purpose

All data will be properly attributed to Sunnah.com

The app is primarily intended for personal spiritual benefit and community benefit.

API rate limits:

These limits are more than enough for my usage.

Maximum requests per second: 1 request per second

Maximum requests per day: Below 500 requests per day

Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?

I prefer programmatic API access, because:

I want a new daily hadith

I want the latest corrections from your dataset

I want to display Arabic + translation in multiple languages

Programmatic API is much easier to maintain

The app may serve thousands of users, so fetching clean and structured hadith data online is a better option
