• Please tell us about yourself (include an email address): Giovanni Sullutrone [[email protected]] I'm an italian PhD student at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia as a member of the DBGroup (https://dbgroup.unimore.it/site/home.html). We are working on providing and improving Digital Libraries for non-latin documents. One of the objectives is the introduction of LLMs in the field.

• Your purpose in using this API: In this specific case, we are working on different research papers on document retrieval for Hadiths. However, this is just a first step as we will then move to researching RAG systems for non-latin documents.

• API rate limits:

  • Maximum requests per second: TBD
  • Maximum requests per day: TBD as https://sunnah.api-docs.io/ does not seem to work, it is hard to quantify the API calls, but all we need are a dump of the available hadiths once.

• Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access? We would prefer having an offline dump as we'll be running different models and algorithms on remote servers.

• What are the languages in which would you like hadith data? We are interested in both English, Arabic and Urdu as we have the expertise to work on the three of them.

• What programming language will your API client be in? Python
