• Your purpose in using this API:

I am currently building a website Sanabel Al Firdaws to teach islam i have found a way to make markdoc components like

{% hadith id="" /%} and its called at build time once and then its replaced with the data of the hadith based on the api for this website https://dorar.net/h/hHwPuwmA

• API rate limits:

  • Maximum requests per second: github action build step takes 30s so i have no idea many requests a second but in the period all the hadith requests will be called

  • Maximum requests per day: depends on how frequently i update the website which won't be daily

• Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?

a snapshoot would be better but an api seems easier to work with

i am open to suggeting a way to acceess the specific data i need once so i don't require an api for it

Would making a json file locally be better?

i feel like having a collection of even 1k+ hadiths is way too much for my use case im just looking for a way to fetch the data when building my project on github

English and Arabic

• What programming language will your API client be in?

javascript using the Astro framework so the Users of the website don't get requests the requests happen at build time
