When reading a pdf, can you make the annotations appear on the side like this? As an option :) Screenshot_1

Hmmm It used to be that when you highlight text the contents were AUTO captured, but then I think there were others complained !!

So if you want to see comment contents you need to select text + Control C then press A and then Control V paste into comments box. However that's not what you seem to be aiming for So add whatever comments you wish.

The comments can be added on the side in the editor box but it floats not eating application window. image

Acrobat eats so much surrounding space very little is left for actual reading ! image

The main thing is to be able to easily take notes and underline a pdf the first time you read it. On the second reading, you should be able to easily read your notes along with the main text. The difference from the first reading is to be able to read, comprehend and gain a deeper understanding without interfering with the pdf tools. The main task of a pdf reader is to realize the latter. But I see this missing in many tools, I wanted to point it out.

So your request is that when opening a PDF with comments they are all open automatically down the side like in Acrobat ?

Thus not an issue but a very big feature request it requires an area like outline/bookmarks and the ability to read all comments across all pages or scrolling all that are in all visible pages.

That is a BIG ask.
