Stanford login link in Stanford-only content obscures play button on media objects

Expected behavior

After clicking on the 'Stanford-affiliated? Login to play' link, I would expect the link to disappear. Also, when switching to a different media file in the same object, I would also expect the link to disappear.

Actual behavior

Sometimes it does disappear, but testing over the past few days in the most recent Chrome build shows that more often than not it sticks around, making playback difficult.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

https://purl.stanford.edu/qw104kj9345 Navigate between the two audio files and see if you can get the Stanford login link to disappear.

Browser / Environment

Chrome 65.0.3325.146 / Mac OS 10.12.6 (also tested in Safari with the same results)
