Android-APT plugin is incompatible

Hey, I'm trying to try this app on my android studio but I'm getting this error:

android-apt plugin is incompatible with the Android Gradle plugin. Please use 'annotationProcessor' configuration instead.

All I did was cloning and loading it in Android Studio, that's it. But when gradle is loading the project, it gives me that error.

Annotation processing is on btw. any idea why?
