I removed many of the "checks" it does to see if user are in the correct group, and that the docker-socket is available. After removing those, at least the basic vim-test works on osx..

I'll dig deeper, but I think the best way is to write up what works on each platform, and be honest that "Linux works best".. Then I can try to make the code-base a little more os-aware, and give a warning to some docs when it starts about the support-matrix..?

That would be awsome. Though in the future it is definitely possible to get the xpra bridge working on mac, just needs to be programmed by someone with a mac.

x-apps in containers like that on my mac would be a gamechanger for me! I'll look into that as well! It's busy-times right now, but I think I can dedicate some time forward to look into this :)
