How to install from package?

Open clarkewd opened this issue 6 years ago • 3 comments

Following the installation instructions at http://linux.subogero.com/tag/omxd/ says to create this file:

/etc/apt/sources.list.d/subogero.list

With this content:

deb http://linux.subogero.com/deb/ /

And then run apt-get update

When I do this I get the following message:

W: The repository 'http://linux.subogero.com/deb Release' does not have a Release file.
N: Data from such a repository can't be authenticated and is therefore potentially dangerous to use.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

Here's my kernel info / architecture / os:

Linux localhost 4.14.50-v7+ #1122 SMP Tue Jun 19 12:26:26 BST 2018 armv7l GNU/Linux

PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)"
NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux"
VERSION_ID="9"
VERSION="9 (stretch)"

What's the workaround?

Or would it be possible to add a release file?

Can you ignore the warning and continue?

Thank you. Last time it gave me an option to ignore the warning but I'm not getting that option now.

Ideally I'd like to have the package installed headless via ansible.

@subogero any updates on this one? I'm getting a similar message...

Err:3 http://linux.subogero.com/deb  InRelease
  Clearsigned file isn't valid, got 'NOSPLIT' (does the network require authentication?)
