UI/UX: Inconsistent rendering of line numbering

Description of the bug

Rendering of line numbers on the left of the lines when scrolling is inconsistent.

1. Observe the number "2" on the screen shots below. Compare screen shots 2, 3 & 4. The number "2" behaves differently than numbers "1" or "3". It jumps to the last (sub)line, while the others don't.
2. Observe the highlighted line on the screen shots below. Compare screen shots 1 & 4.

Steps to reproduce

• my file has three lines of pure text
• no syntax, just quite long text lines, that break at window's edge (no horizontal bar)
• the line 1 is selected the whole time

Observe the following screen shots:

1. Scrolled all the way to the top

2. Scrolling down, so that part of the first line can still be seen

3. Scrolling down further, so that line 1 is not seen anymore, part of line 2 can still be seen

4. Scrolling even further down, so that lines 1&2 are not seen anymore, part of line 3 can still be seen

Expected behavior

ad 1. Consistent behaviour. Either all numbers jump, or none. ad 2. Why does line 3 looks like selected on the last screen shot, and only there?
