remember_workspace: true ignored on Windows 10
Description of the bug
I'm using multiple ST windows on multiple Windows 10 virtual desktops. When I exit ST (or restart my computer) and start ST again, the ST windows don't open on the virtual desktop they were on before, but on the currently active virtual desktop. I've set "remember_workspace": true, in my preferences, but it doesn't make a difference.
I do not experience this issue with ST build 4126, which opens the windows on the virtual desktops they were closed on.
Steps to reproduce
- Start ST
- Make sure "remember_workspace" setting is set to true
- Open 2 windows, move one to another virtual desktop
- Exit ST (file → exit)
- Start ST again
Expected behavior
Both windows reopen on the virtual desktop they were on before exiting ST.
Actual behavior
Both windows open on the current virtual desktop.

Seems to work fine with ST 4147 on Win11 22H2
This is still the case for me with ST 4200 on Win 11 25H2.
I have 15 ST windows, spread over 6 virtual desktops. After closing and re-starting ST, two of those windows end up in their previous virtual desktops, but the remaining 13 windows all end up on the main active desktop.
So I've come to make screenshots of each virtual desktop before I re-start, so I can dis-entagle them. This is absolutely tedious though and thus I tend to delay reboots due to the dread of having to do this every single time. 😩
