Different files on the status bar can have a note in the available space without changing the file name

Least number of files consist of 4 or 5 chars only. Useful comments need (too mucht) space. With many views open tab widths are shrinked to a minimum and tend to get burried quickly, even without comments.

I don't think this proposal would end up in acceptable UX.

I could imagine to display some comments/remarks as tooltip, when hovering the tab. The question however is, where should they come from?
