This setting could not be changed in arch linux gnome desktop environment

Same here. None of the settings are being saved. Version 8.0.29 from AUR.

Remove ~/.config/autostart/xdm-app.desktop. And yeah. The file is created when the startup option is enabled, but is not deleted after disabling it. This is indeed a bug.
