Issue with editing the markdown

Not able to properly edit the examples in the markdown; there is difference in the cursor position and the position where the edits are added. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm using v10.6.2, webpack 4, react 16 and node 12, is it possible to fix this issue without updating these version?
