RGB image as overlay?

Hi, Is it possible to load a GeoTIFF RGB image and have this as an overlay to Leaflet? There is the readRGB() function in geotiff.js, which I can use to load the image, but then I can't figure out how to make this a Leaflet overlay. Is this functionality somewhere whithin leaflet-geotiff? Many thanks!
