Muting becomes confused after swapping microphones
I don't know the actual steps to reproduce this, but @stuartlangridge asked me to submit this regardless. I'll just sort of describe how my day went.
- Start working at desk with external mic
- Move laptop to living room, using its internal mic
- Mic becomes permanently muted (as shown on the LED on my keyboard, but not perse in tray)
- Unmute mic manually
At the end of the day, as I was dictating an email I was writing, I apologised to my colleague because I assumed he couldn't hear what I was saying. He said he could hear me type and speak just fine.
@stuartlangridge assumed the following:
if you manage to switch what an active mic is while hushboard has one of them muted, we'll never unmute it because it's no longer active
I may have to change it so that we mute the running mic, and unmute whichever mic we muted, regardless of whether it's active. hm.
Some extra information:
- Using the latest hushboard version
- Using the AUR install on ArchLinux (btw)
