Brew has removed the option to pass formula specific options during install. Removing the options parameters from the brew install line.

I would also note during the install steps that you can install the CPAN package to a local user directory (i.e. the local::lib choice). I noticed this when installing on my new Macbook, where this was the first CPAN package I had used. This is nice because you don't need sudo.
