Why this is not in official go compiler?

@stuartcarnie I briefly checked in official Go compiler optimizations. I am surprised they don't include it there. Do you happen to know why? Is SIMD not a priority for Go maintainers?

Why SIMD is nor in priority for Go maintainers?

I can't answer for the Go core team but single-core performance has not been a focus for Go.
