Lately, freezing up and problems syncing

For the past few weeks, I've noticed that I often need to manually sync both the macos app and android app before and after making changes. This sucks and unfortunately leads to many more sync conflicts than otherwise.

The macos app has been freezing up on me, mid typing, for a few seconds at a time. Showing the spinning ball and everything
