Non-latin characters are smaller

Open streetwriters[bot] opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Hello,

There's one thing that drives me crazy. Polish special characters are being shown with a slighty smaller font size.

Here's the sample (I hope it will not loose it's format).

Polish: lł aą eę sś cć zżź nń | oó (this one pair seems ok).

This occurs only when the system font is selected.

I've tested it also with German diactric letters and these are fine: German: oö uü aä

So it's not affecting all non-latin characters but just part of them.

regards, Tomek

Here's the screenshot showing the issue as the text formatting was lost. Only the last pair oó uses the same font size.

Hi,

I've just noticed that it's not the font size is the problem, but rather the font family. With the system font selected, Notesnook uses system font for Latin characters and fall back to serif font for non-Latin characters.

This has been fixed.
