Code Spell Checker interferes with Power Query Editor
Hi, I use VSCode and Power Query Editor in Excel simultaneously. I noticed an issue with the clipboard when Code Spell Checker is enabled in VSCode. The issue is as follows: when I try to copy a complete query from the sidebar on the left, I receive an error stating that the copy operation failed. However, simple copy-paste still works if I copy only text (i.e., not an object). The only way to solve the problem is to disable the Code Spell Checker extension and all related extensions. When extension is enabled: VsCode extensions:
Error message in Excel Power Query Editor:
Reproduction steps:
- Right-click on a query and select Copy from the context menu.
- After a few seconds, an error occurs.
To solve the problem, I reinstalled the extension, but it did not work. Right now, the only way to avoid the issue is either not using these applications simultaneously (which is not an option for me) or disabling/uninstalling the extension.
@dotvihar,

I would like to understand the issue. Would you paste an image of what you are trying to copy?
I have not used the Excel Power Query Editor, so I'm not sure how it works. It is generally possible to turn off the spell checker for certain file types.
There is a toggle to show/hide the spelling issues.
Does it help to hide the issues?
