Release cycle

Hi,

Could you explain how the release cycle is working? I see several releases published in the last few days, even a major release v3.0.0.4 but I could not find any changelog explaining what has changed.

I am the maintainer of the Nix package and I wish I could provide stable updates in Nixpkgs repository.
