I am reopening this, to track the performance optimization of the sort @timestamp. I can't proceed with the above PR because we want to sort @timestamp and raise the limit...

@fang-xing-esql I am playing with your PR, really looking forward to it! I see that when the params is not provided then the query will fail I am just thinking...
