Feature Request: User on level can add child accounts
- Purchase more seats without changing membership.
- User on level can manually sponsor users without having to go through the checkout process again.
- Hide child level from Membership select page.
I want a function that if a member is active, he can purchase more seats without changing his membership.
membership 2 should not be possible to buy if you doesn't have an active membership 1. And it should only be available in checkout as an add more seats without change the main membership level.
After activating a new membership, I want an option in account to buy sub-accounts with a family membership, max 5 seats.
Problem is to hide the family account for not active membership, but still be visible for active membership. Also not being forced to buy a new main membership to get sponsored sub accounts…
-
A workaround would be to let sponsored members (parents) reach out to site owners and then they may adjust their seat count manually and send a payment request to these user's for a manual payment. User's may need to change their membership level if they aren't on a sponsored member already etc.

This ties in with point 1, this code is executed on checkout.
-
You may use the Advanced Levels Shortcode or the pmpro_levels_array filter to hide specific level ID's from checkout. This may be nice as a blog post or gist to achieve for it in the short term.
- Similar request to number 2 request @ronalfy made, is to allow existing members add other existing members to own child accounts when changing their membership level to a main sponsor level.

I wrote this ages ago, but you can technically do this with this gist: https://gist.github.com/ronalfy/cf635ae5fd527b560fdd1b9db459b023
I'll admit it's a bit hacky with all the filter removals, but eh, that's what they're there for :)
Works by allowing existing members to purchase more seats via an add-on page.
