imagemaps in a slider on mobile or device widths smaller than original are not working

Everything is working great in the original size, but I've found that the areas are not resized unless I change the browser width, or change the orientation on my phone from landscape and back, that it'll work correctly. I also tried setting the width and height to the dimensions of a scaled down mobile image size, but still not working. I'm using flexslider and bootstrap grids.

Is there something I can do, perhaps force a resize if it's a certain dimension on load?
