unable to compile any option due to infinite warning loop

To preface this: I recently moved from windows over to linux a few months ago, and i've been enjoying it so far and everything that I have works mostly out of the box (obviously configuration required) however, the only thing that doesn't work is my Elgato (obviously 4k60.mk2). I searched around for solutions to this issue as I thought by now there would've been some reverse engineering project to get it to work (it's been out since 2019, which I know isn't that long of a time, but hey one can dream)

I stumbled upon this repo (thought it seems pretty dead which is sad) but I decided to give it a try. Upon trying to compile it entirely refused to, this is the error i'm getting
