Rename "Scene Parameters" to "Properties", so that it better fits in smaller screens, and doesn't get cut like it does now:

This make name not so concrete - Parameters of what?

Of the selected scene. Just like "Bookmarks" holds bookmarks for the selected scene and it doesn't have to be named "Scene Bookmarks".

I'm thinking here that this can be even more power than I initially thought. It could mean "of whatever is selected":

  1. If the cursor is in a scene, it shows the properties of the scene (header, title, etc.);
  2. If you highlight a character's name (double clicking on it), it shows the properties of that character (name, age, gender, description, story role, etc.).

So this would make it more convenient to change character properties as well, such as the name.

No, bookmarks page show you bookmarks from the entire document.

What about showing character info on selecting character name, in my opinion, this is not intuitive to user.

Right, the Bookmarks panel is for the whole document.

But, in any case, the name "Scene Parameters" is still too long for smaller screens. Game engines and other creative apps (like Blender) have a "Properties" panel that presents properties for whatever is selected, so that doesn't seem unclear to me.

Furthermore, Scene Parameters already half-works like that anyways: if you select an act, it shows you act properties not scene. Which makes it inconsistent, since acts are not scenes.

If you want to keep "scene" in the name, what about simply "Scene" or "Scene Info"?

But I think there's plenty of apps out there providing a context-based panel named "Properties" and proving it is intuitive to users and not confusing at all.
