I have been testing beef with beef over WAN on my local network and everything works just fine. when I go to test it on a target outside my local network using ngrok I do not get a hook

This is the error message I get when trying to hook a browser outside my local network.

Any help would be appreciated thanks !

@pretech86 @DrippingColors Kindly make sure that the Beef Directory is accessible to Public, Use the chmod command to change Access Permission and let me know if it helps?

Hi everyone not sure myself if stormshadow's fix works but what I did for mine was

  1. Reinstalled BeeF (probably not needed)
  2. Reset BeeF database using the command ./beef -x
  3. Verified everything is reset with empty BeeF control panel
  4. Run and test if BeeF is properly working through LAN
  5. Run ngrok & BeeF-Over-WAN
  6. Send to target over WAN
