Bonus points if we could get it set up so that when you approve a registration, there's an option of sending an email to the user to let them know they have been approved.

I'd like to be able to make it so that I can leave registration "open" but I'd have to manually go in and approve users. Leaving the registrations completely open is just inviting a potential nightmare.
