Have you tested this on iPhone as well? I got an iPad today and there the error persists. But on iPhone I cannot recreate it.

Okay, I know now what the issue is, but haven't found a solution — yet. This only happens when the option `Use system controls with AVPlayer` is turned on.

This seems to be a general playback issue with MP4 streams. Since Piped seems to only serves .mp4 and .webm and .mp4 has higher priority, Yattee chooses the .mp4 stream...

Is this still happening? With the latest build 181, I don't see this behavior.

It does work for me on macOS. I need to test it on iOS again.

This should work now. Tested with MPV and AVPlayer.

@HazWard which audio language do you hear? I tested it with my self-hosted Invidious instance. The Audio language is English for me in the video you shared.

I assume you are using Piped as your Instance. This rather a piped bug than a Yattee bug. But it should be circumvented and fixed with conditional proxying #662
